General Event Information

What is the attire for the event?

Attire for the event is business casual (examples: polo shirts, button up shirts, sweaters, nice jeans, khaki's/slacks).

Is wi-fi available in the meeting space?

Yes. Look for more information in your welcome packet.

Do I have to attend the evening events?

This is at your manager's discretion. If you are unable to attend, please discuss and gain approval from your manager.

What is the dress code for evening events?

Dress Code: Attire for training sessions is business casual and evening events are casual. Feel free to pull out your cowboy boots and jeans for the evening events, we are in Nashville, after all! The conference center is large, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes!

Can I bring my family?

Yes. However, Aspire is an HPE employee and partner only event. Family members will not be able to attend event meals, training sessions, or functions. Room Rates are based on single room occupancy. Attendee is responsible for notifying the hotel of additional guests (this includes children) and paying additional fees (if applicable). In no cases should the maximum occupancy of the room to be exceeded.

Can I get a special room rate outside of the event?

Yes. Extended stays are available at your expense and based on availability. If rooms are available, you will be able to reserve extra days during the Aspire registration process. Please call the hotel directly if you have questions or issues with reservations. Note, Aspire is an HPE employee and partner only event. Family members will not be able to attend HPE Aspire functions.

How do I book the hotel?

How do I book flights for the event?

Use your company’s normal booking process (HPE employees use myHPEtravel).

What dates should I book flights?

Event arrival: Please plan to arrive on Monday, May 15th in the afternoon. An optional welcome reception will begin at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (CST).

Event departure: Please plan to depart on a flight after 2:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, May 19th.

Transportation

Transportation reservations to the hotel have been made for those traveling by air. To avoid additional costs please use the arranged transportation.

Is transportation provided to the event?

Arrival shuttle information:
Shuttle service from the Nashville International Airport to the hotel will be provided at no charge. Upon your arrival to the airport retrieve your checked luggage, then proceed to the Gaylord Opryland Welcome Desk on the lower level of the airport. Check-in with the desk agent. If an agent is not available, you can find the hotel’s shuttle located immediately to the left as you exit the lower level of the airport. Tell the driver you are with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and they will provide you with your tickets.

The shuttle runs daily every 30 minutes from 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM, with express shuttle service from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM every 20 minutes.

Parking: On-site or valet parking available at the hotel if you plan to drive to the event.

Departure shuttle information:
Shuttle service from the hotel to the Nashville International Airport will be provided from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm (CST).

If you are departing outside of the arranged shuttle schedule above, please use the hotel shuttle departing from the Cascades Lobby.

Luggage: After check-out, luggage can be stored with Bell Services starting at 6:45 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Bell Services will provide security until you retrieve your baggage after sessions close.

Registration, Scheduling Sessions and Testing Center

When can I register for the event?

Registration will open on Thursday, March 2, 2017 and will close on Friday, April 28, 2017. You will receive a communication with the link to the registration site. Please note registration may close early, if the event reaches capacity earlier than expected.

Where do I pick up my badge and when?

Registration and badging will be located in Delta Lobby C/D. You can pick up your badge and welcome packet beginning at 12:00 pm (CST) on Monday, May 15, 2017. A government issued ID will be required to pick up a badge.

Can I register to attend for one day?

No, registration is for the full 3.5 days of the event.

Can my company purchase one badge to be shared by different individuals on different days?

No, registration is per person and badges may not be shared. Individuals caught sharing badges will be asked to leave.

What is included in the event?

Is there a fee if I cancel my registration?

Cancellation Policy:
The registration deadline is April 28, 2017, unless the event reaches capacity at an earlier date. Full refunds are available prior to April 15, 2017. After this date, cancellations will not receive a refund. You may send an alternate to the event without additional charge. To request a cancellation or to make a change please send an email to HPEAspire@eventPower.com.

When can I register for sessions?

The session scheduler is planned to open on Friday, April 3, 2017. You will receive a communication with information on selecting sessions.

Can I change my sessions while at the event?

Yes. You will be able to change your sessions at the event. Changes are based on available seats in the sessions.

What Partner Ready exams will be available at the event?

In order to take advantage of the latest exam releases, the final exam list will be released on May 2, 2017. We are targeting Storage, Server, Networking, and Data Center and Cloud certifications.

Can I register for an exam ahead of time?

No, the Testing Center is a drop in center only.

The hours of operation are:
  • Tuesday, May 16th - 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm (last entry)
  • Wednesday, May 17th - 08:00 am - 5:00 pm (last entry)
  • Thursday, May 18th - 08:00 am - 5:00 pm (last entry)
  • Friday, May 19th - 08:00 am - 12:00 pm (last entry)

What do I need to bring to the Testing Center?

To ensure a fast and smooth registration process at the testing center, please have your HPE PearsonVUE login details ready upon arrival. You will need a photo ID (passport, identity card or driver’s license).

If you need to create an account, please visit www.pearsonvue.com/hpe and have your HPE Learner ID or HPE Employee ID (for HPE Presales employees only) available. For HPE employees, please ensure you use your PeopleFinder details when you create your PearsonVUE account in order for your exam results to post successfully to your profile.

For HPE Employees, please ensure you can log into your PearsonVUE account prior to attending the event. If you used an @HP email address to set up your account, you will have to send an email to candidate.inquiries@hpe.com to have your profile updated with your @HPE email address. Please do so prior to attending Aspire as it can take up to 24 hours for this to be completed.

Aspire Mobile App

Will there be an app this year for Aspire?

Yes. Instructions on how to download the app will be available mid-April.

What login will I use for the app?

You will use the same login and password you set up for registration.

Will the app notify me of room or session changes?

Yes. The app will push a notification to your phone.

Partner Information

What is included in the price of the event?

Is there an option to register with no hotel for a reduced price?

No, the option to stay at another hotel or have no hotel is not an option for this year’s registration.

Can MDF funds be used to pay for the event?

The total cost is not reimbursable through MDF funding. However, the cost for accommodation and food is reimbursable ($1.6K). You will be provided receipts upon completing registration to use for reimbursement. Additionally, travel and exam/certification vouchers (provided at the event) are reimbursable through MDF. Please work through your company’s process for reimbursement.

Are continuing education/learning credits available if I attend the event?

Yes, be sure to provide your Learner ID during registration to receive credits for attending Aspire.
